Sure, it’s easy to see how AI would write User Stories faster…
BUT: the real world is different: the whole point of product work is navigating uncertainty. We don’t know what’s valuable yet.
That’s the job.👈👈👈👈👈
So, the answer isn’t “generate more epics faster” – it’s building validation loops that help us learn what matters.
Automating backlog creation before you understand what value is? You’re just producing detailed plans for the wrong thing at light speed.
The irony is brutal: AI makes it easier to look busy while avoiding the actual work – talking to users, testing assumptions, killing bad ideas early.
If you’re serious about AI, change the question: what if AI helped you validate value faster instead of plan faster?
What if it made it easier to throw away bad ideas instead of documenting them beautifully?
What this “Experienced PM” is doing is optimizing something that is NOT THE BOTTLENECK.
We don’t need more tasks in JIRA; we need to know if we’re building the right thing!
